Internship at sey beauty

I secured a 6 month internship at an independent, sustainable and eco friendly make up brand in Cardiff called Sey.

The internship allowed me to explore different roles that the industry require. These roles included styling, shoot preparation, content creating and marketing.

I was able to style and assist on a photoshoot for a promotional campaign and collaboration between Sey and Etoeto. This allowed me to really explore and use the skills I have learnt from University.

When it came to the styling i created mood boards based on the models and style Sey wanted to aim to achieve. I also sourced the clothing from another sustainable brand in Cardiff. This allowed me to broaden my connections and work on my communication skills.

Test Shots

Before we did the official promotional shoot, the team and myself came to the studio a few days before to do a test shoot to make sure the styling, models and set up all looked and ran smoothly.

Behind the Scenes and Set Design

The clothes sourced from Dati clothing used for the shoot, as well as other items of clothing and accessories brought to the shoot in case anything needed adjusting. Make up was also brought to the shoot for the models.

Once I has sourced the clothes I began doing research into the brand to get a sense of how to style the clothing to suit what Sey liked and to make sure everything was prepared before we started shooting.
